A Lincoln Lesson Of Intercultural Creativity – Diamond Mentor Moment #14 – Genein Letford, M.Ed

June 6, 2021

Though he believed slavery was wrong, Abraham Lincoln did not think black people were on the same intellectual level as whites…. Until this happened…

In this Diamond Mentor Moment, I speak about intercultural creativity from a historical perspective and I identify the driving factor of intercultural development for our 16th President that moved him ‘separatist’ thinking to petitioning the right to vote for black men.

I also speak on how we can go the opposite direction and polarize ourselves away from those different from us.

Our ability to connect with others from various backgrounds directly affects our creativity, the creative potential of others, as well as our progress as an organization and a nation.
